The Largest Sugar Maple Tree I ever saw inside of gate.
Claysville, at the time of The War Between The States was known as "Little Richmond" -
had so many sympathizers on each side - Not being far from the Mason and Dickson [Dixon}
Line. There was also a Prison Pen near it, where Confederate soldiers were incarnated.
Three of whom died were buried in the Grove Cemetery at West Middletown, and one in
the Amity Cemetery.
Records Taken by Miss Eva Johnston, and Elizabeth B. Weaver...June 22, 1937.
